Self-Portrait

I consider myself a failed painter. Not that I ever tried to make a living out of painting, but rather I picked up a camera at the age of 15 because I simply could not make a brush do what I wanted.

At first I couldn’t make the camera do what I wanted either. But I kept trying. And nine years later, I’ve taken some half-decent photographs.

I guess I still try to think like a painter. Every time I click the shutter, my subconscious enquires if the composition is worthy of watercolor or oils. Haunting. But I keep trying.
